Western Deigital Launches World’s Largest highest-capacity 400GB SanDisk MicroSD Card.
The 400GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card came two years after the launch of its 200 GB predecessor. WD claims it can rack up transfer speeds of 100MB per second, meaning you can nearly move up to 1,200 photos per minute.
Allowing it to load apps faster, It also meets the A1 App Performance Class specification. Moreover, it can hold up to 40 hours of full HD video. That all sounds exciting, but it comes at a good price: This card might cost you $250 as per the update.
Not only is monster SanDisk’s 400GB is the biggest yet, but it left out the previous record holder Samsung. Samsung set its record with 256GB card from last year. Talking more technical, the 400GB microSD card, is classified as a SDXC UHS-I card i.e it will run application on phone well.
The card comes with a 10-year limited warranty. SanDisk gearing up for a world where a ton of data is stored across a large variety of devices. Consumers have long been using cards of this nature in devices like Laptop, Android smartphones and tablets, and cameras, but the WD now envisages a growing use of microSD cards in drones which are capable of storing images and 4K videos that means it can store upto 40 hours.
